Sights of the palace administration accessible for visitors again

We are very pleased that many of our houses are now open for you again! To ensure that the health of our guests as well as that of our employees is maintained despite COVID-19, each of our reopened properties has its own protection and hygiene concept.

Here you will find general information and FAQs for visiting our sights during the restrictions due to COVID-19.

The following sights unfortunately have to remain closed (here it would not be possible to make the partly narrow rooms accessible without endangering the health of visitors and employees):

  • Aschaffenburg: Schönbusch Palace

  • Bayreuth: Hermitage Old Palace; Zwernitz Castle and Oriental Building in Sanspareil

  • Chiemsee: Julius Exter's House

  • Coburg/Rödental: Rosenau Palace

  • Dachau: Dachau Palace

  • Holzhausen on the Ammersee: Mathias and Anna Sophie Gasteiger's House

  • Landshut: Landshut Town Residence

  • Linderhof: Hunding's Hut and Hermitage of Gurnemanz in the palace park

  • Munich: Hall of Fame and Statue of Bavaria; chapel at Blutenburg Palace; Pagodenburg and Magdalenenklause at Nymphenburg Palace Park

  • Schachen: King's House on Schachen

  • Veitshöchheim: Veitshöchheim Palace

  • Würzburg: Maschikuli Tower at Marienberg Fortress; no guided tours of the fortress

Please also note that Schleißheim Old Palace will probably remain closed until November 2020 due to renovation measures.

The parks and gardens of the Palace Administration will remain open.

The well-known rules of hygiene and conduct apply to visits to all our sights.
